Author Profile
Paula Hiscox is an educator who began her career as a secondary school teacher. She went on to become a vice-principal, a learning supervisor in human resources, and achieved her Supervisory Officer’s Qualifications. A life-long learner herself, Paula strives to inspire that same passion and curiosity in others.
Family is at the heart of everything Paula does. She is a dedicated mother to her son, Will, and a devoted wife to her husband, Bill. She is a loving daughter to her mother, Harriet, and her father, Paul. She is the cherished sister of Heather & Wendy, and doting aunt to nieces Ashia & Jessica.
Paula was born and rasied in Owen Sound and still calls the beautiful Grey-Bruce region home. She has a family cottage on Lake Huron where she indulges her love of water sports, including boating, fishing, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, jetskiing, waterskiing, and… WAKEBOARDING!
A competitive golfer, tennis and squash player, Paula enjoys travelling to different destinations and meeting new people through sport. Many of her cherished friendships have originated from these experiences, as have some of her greatest life lessons.
WHAT DO YOU LEAVE IN YOUR WAKE? is her debut children’s book. It is the first in the Rudy “Rude-y” Dornhoffer series, and Paula looks forward to sharing many more of Rudy’s adventures with her readers!
